This hymn tune was written by John Bacchus Dykes a few years before the Christian Bible Chapel (later the Island Hall) on St Agnes was opened. The tune is actually called 'St Agnes' and is typical of non-conformist hymns of it's era. We assembled an authentic 'congregation' of islanders to sing, layered with more stylistically contemporary piano, whistles and saxophone, giving an impression of historical depth.
